Disposal and batteries

Information under the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) and Battery Act (BattDG): how to return old devices and batteries correctly.

Old devices

  • The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol on a device means: electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with household waste.
  • As a consumer you are legally obliged to collect old devices separately from household waste and return them.
  • You can hand them in at a municipal collection point or to us (see below).
  • Old devices contain valuable raw materials. Proper disposal protects the environment and health.
  • Before returning a device, please remove your microSD card and your own project data.

Batteries and rechargeable batteries

  • The UPP1-X, UPP1-XS and UPP2-X contain a built-in lithium battery (Li-ion/Li-Po, 3.7 V / 900 mAh). The ISP3-X has no battery.
  • Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. As an end user you are legally obliged to return them.
  • The crossed-out wheelie bin means: not for household waste. Chemical symbols such as Pb, Cd or Hg indicate that the battery contains lead, cadmium or mercury above the limit values.
  • The battery in our devices is permanently installed and cannot be removed by the end user without damage. Please return the complete device.
  • Do not open or keep charging damaged or swollen batteries. Please contact us before returning them.
